The Ride

Let's talk about the riding

All loops are designed to keep you challenged for roughly 3 to 4 hours to get you back in time for lunch and the raffle drawings. After lunch you can go free-ride the area or ride the loops again if you choose to. The Motorcycle Loops are designed for motorcycles only, please do not ride these loops during the event with anything other than a motorcycle.

The ATV/SXS Loop will be self guided, be sure to have a GPS ready device. We will email the route to you a few days before the event.

The Singletrack/Enduro Loop will be motorcycle only, self-guided, arrowed & short, but sweet. You'll be riding about 30 miles of mostly singletrack and you can expect the entire loop to take 3 hours for an average rider. It's rough, technical and tons of fun! Lot's of rock gardens, technical sections and some decent elevation change. This loop is suitable for intermediate to experienced riders. New riders may find some areas too challenging. No license plate needed!

The Dual Sport Loop will be self-guided, roughly 60 miles and will have a main route along with optional sections to test yourself on. On the main route you'll be riding mostly wider two-track and haul roads that will be pretty mellow with some rocks, roots, mud and large puddles. We suggest not riding through the center of the puddles...trust us on this. The options will range form easy to hard and will have a few hill-climbs, some soft, muddy ground, and some easier singletrack. Watch out for the steep downhill in the first option! This loop is designed for all rider skill levels with options to challenge yourself.

The ATV & SXS Loop will be self-guided via GPS route and will have a little bit of everything. You'll get all the cool views, be challenged by some technical terrain, and you'll be riding roughly 30 miles with the options to ride over or avoid some big rocks, mud pits & water crossings. This loop will be suitable for all skill levels.

The Jeep & 4WD Loop will be led by our friends at Freedom Offroad, the same crew that hosts the Coal Pit Crusade and the Street Rock Series. We will have self guided routes planned out and will also have guides on staff to show you everything that Famous Reading Outdoors has to offer. From easy Green trails for novice drivers to the hair-raising expert Red trails designed for fully built buggies. Loops will be approximately 3 to 4 hours.
